Princess Luna Has Two Daily Forms

No no, I'm not talking about Nightmare Moon, (I'll get to her later...), I'm talking about the strange difference between the Luna we first met in Season 1 and the Luna we know in Season 2. What I'm saying is that because of a glitch by the Elements of Harmony, during the day, Luna appears as "Woona" while at night she's her terrifying self.

It's no secret that there were a lot of changes between the first and second seasons. The look of the Theme Song changed, the animation quality shot through the roof, the CMC became bearable, and a lot of one-dimentianal characters gained personalities and histories. One of the most noticeable changes was the most mysterious princess herself: The Loonmaster. For many fans, it was a giant relief to see this new side of Luna-- the princess in Elements Of Harmony, though adorable, didn't match up to her fearsome counterpart Nightmare Moon. For me personally, I couldn't see this adorable (and rather unrealized) little princess become so angry that she'd vow vengeance and become filled with vile jealousy. The worst I could imagine of Luna was Pouting. Not too scary....

However, as soon as the new Princess of the Night stepped on the scene, I was super hyped. She
Holy hayseed she's looking scarier!
was scary, she had a quick temper and a new booming voice, not to mention her new regal look and dark sense of humor. She was multi-demential, her personality fit in with Nightmare Moon, and her new look matched with Celestia and her own new darker personae.

But wait a second-- what happened to Woona? Did Luna perform some sort of spell that changed her appearance? We know she can do that, and there are even fragments in the animation where we can see her old mane, but that sure doesn't explain the change in personality. There's obviously no other rational explanation for this change in personae than the Princess is Woona during the day and the fearsome Princess of the Night, well, at night. My leading theory is that the spell that was used by the Mane Six to change her back to "good" messed up EVERYTHING. Well, not everything, but it's hard to imagine exactly how a blast of magic can completely change somepony's personality, along with taking away their ambitions and feelings (they were evil ambitions and feelings, but still, how exactly do you do that without radically messing up that person's being, personality and personae?).

So her's where it get's super juicy, what if Luna's "glitching"? It's obvious that she has at least
Three Moon moon
three different personalities inside her (Woona, Luna and Nightmare Moon), so where did they come from? Where did they go? The most common hypothesis (and the one that makes the most sense) is that those three forms represent Luna in the (relative) past, present and future. Technically all of the forms are in the past, since Luna was introduced as Nightmare Moon, but do you get where I'm going?

The spell that the Elements of Harmony cast is extremely vague at best. Upon first viewing, it's assumed that it's just a "good" spell, but it can be argued that Luna looks and sounds a lot younger than her nightmarish counterpart. Then on Nightmare Night, Luna seems much older than she did the last time we saw her, but still not the deep-vengeful Nightmare Moon. We can assume that they 'sploaded her evil counterpart,  but they wouldn't want to get rid of her good parts, right? So, did they just use some sort of time spell, turn back the clock, and brought the Princess back to the time when she wasn't so hate-filled?

However, if that was the case how would you explain the fact that Luna immediately remembered what happened and apologized for her actions? This means that there are multiple established parts of Luna. But what happens to them and where are they when a different one is out and about?

Think about Luna's appearances thus far after the second episode: all during the Nightmare Night episode and a few cameos once dusk fell in the Canterlot Wedding two-parter. All of those scenes with her were at Night. She's the Princess of the Night, so what? During the Canterlot Wedding, she stays far away from Equestria until the night is well established, and flies in from the moon. This is in contrast to the second episode where we see Woona 100% of the time in daylight. What I'm suggesting is that because of the spell cast by the Elements of Harmony, she's innocent Woona during the day and her older self at night. This would explain why she's far away from the castle during the daytime, probably ashamed or embarrassed of her weaker other half.

Well, what do you guys think, does this conspiracy have any merit? Are there any theories that you have that you'd like me to look into? Let me know in the comments, and I hope to see you back here soon for the next Equestrian conspiracy.
